If you’re looking at your site, and finding it rather boring, or not as exciting as you’d like it to be, there are some things that you can do to give it some variety, and keep your visitors coming back for more.
The one thing about running a website is that you need to give your visitors a reason to come back. If you have a blog, post often. If you run a site that’s dependent on current events, make sure to keep the site updated often, or you’ll quickly lose visitors.
- Make video blogs, or “vlogs.” Upload them to YouTube, and link to them from your site.
- Interact with your visitors through Twitter, Facebook, or even set up a message board for more interactivity.
- If you don’t allow comments on your blog, consider adding them. This will let your visitors know that their opinions
count.
These are just a few suggestions. Of course, there are other things you can do, such as going through your site’s code to make sure that there isn’t anything needlessly slowing your site down, which can frustrate visitors.
Your website is a reflection of you or your business. Remembering that can guide you well when you look to redesign or change your site. Adding new features such as a message board or video blogs can only serve to enhance your site, and keep them coming back for more.
